FAQs

Simply contact us by your preferred means ( using the contact form on our website, via our social media, email, send us a text or give us a call!) and we’ll arrange a time that suits you for Martin to call out to see you.
He can then discuss your requirements and take any measurements he needs.
We’ll then aim to send you a personalised quotation pack within a few days containing your obligation-free quote and some further information.
-
We try to calculate each quote individually, rather than using a set day rate, based on the exact measurements taken and the work required.
- We’ll take into account things like whether we’re painting / papering, if it’s just walls / ceilings / woodwork / doors, if there’s any skimming or other preparation required based on the condition of the surfaces -
This means we can give you a full and final price upfront so that there are no unexpected extra costs to yourself if it takes longer than expected to complete the work quoted for.
-
We only buy paints that we have confidence will provide a high quality, durable finish.
We’re able to purchase these at trade prices, so they will cost less than if you purchased the same products yourself at the standard retail price.
We only ever charge you for the exact amount of paint that we’ve estimated is required, based on the measurements we’ve taken and the coverage of the paint we’re using. (So no paying for any excess couple of litres of paint that you’re not going to need if the job requires part of a tin!)
You might be able to purchase cheaper alternative paints yourself, but we can’t guarantee that the finish will be of the same quality or as long-lasting, and we tend to find that with some paints additional coats would be required, therefore not only costing you more in the quantity of paint needed, but in the labour time it takes to apply them.
And finally, if we’re providing the materials it means that we’ll do the sourcing, ordering and collection for you, so it’s much less hassle!
-
No, the pricing when decorating whether we were to spray or paint by hand remains the same, however, the benefit to our customers is in the quality of finish and the reduced time for job completion on larger scale projects (e.g. an entire property).

FAQs
-
Possibly!
We've done kitchen worktops, finished off with a hard-wearing lacquer, fridges (oh yes!) fitted wardrobes, bespoke furniture, fireplaces, walls, ceilings and woodwork.
In some circumstances it might not be the most advisable option, but feel free to ask us if there's something in particular you're considering having sprayed to see if it's suitable.
-
Absolutely!
Spraying, rather than hand-painting, gives a factory finish and we aim to work to the highest possible standard to ensure you're happy with the result.
We use specialist paints, that once cured, are extremely hard-wearing giving long-term durability.
-
Not at all!
We can have the paint tinted to match a huge range of other manufacturer's paint colours and in a number of different sheen levels and we’re more than happy to provide you with a range of colour cards and sample boards so you can see (and feel) the different finishes… so let your imagination run wild!
-
As we use an airless spray system, rather than conventional spraying, this creates a lot less paint dust in the air and is much more targeted, greatly reducing any over spray and fumes.
We also have a large portable spray tent we can set up if required, and a workshop where we can prepare, spray and dry any cupboard doors and removable furniture items, so that they're completely out of your way.
And of course for anything that's sprayed in your home, we'll make sure to completely cover any areas close by that aren't needing to be sprayed, so that they're fully protected!
-
Nope… the fact that the systems we use are targeted, with less over spray, means the paint goes directly onto the surface. In addition to this, any remaining product is fully drained from the spraying system to re-use so there is no paint lost in cleaning, unlike when using a brush or roller.

According to checkatrade the average cost of a new kitchen in the UK in 2022 is £10,500. Whereas they estimate that the average cost to respray all your cabinets is £800-£1,000.
Obviously it depends on the size of your kitchen and there might be additional costs in painting walls, woodwork, replacing handles etc., but on average it's around an 80-90% saving!

We can spray the cupboard carcasses with the majority of items left in the cupboards, we just need enough room to be able to mask off the interior and everything in it, so even less hassle for you.
-
Usually, yes!
There are few different options if there are some damaged areas. We can advise on the best possible solution for you, we just need to pop out and take a look.
-
Absolutely!
We have a number of different sheen levels available, so whether you want to turn high gloss into a matt finish, or vice versa, it’s not a problem at all. What’s more, we can also show you a sample board so that you can see (and feel) the different finishes… we’re sure you’ll be amazed with the results!

Okay… so it's tempting to just do it yourself… but there are so many reasons to consider hiring a professional decorator:
We've studied and practised… so we not only have the skills to achieve the perfect finish for you, but also the knowledge to know how to best prepare surfaces, the experience to be able to advise the best products to use and the training to provide the solutions to any problem areas… as well as knowing a few other tricks of the trade!
We've invested in the best equipment so you don't have to… imagine the cost if you forked out for high end brushes and rollers for the best application, plastic backed dust sheets and hard-wearing groundsheets to make sure all your carpets are fully protected, dustless sanding equipment so that all the preparation was done quicker with much less mess, then all the masking tapes, decorators caulk, fillers, sandpaper and other sundries that you might need, but we'll already have supplies of.
We have the time… if you consider how much your time is worth, doing the work yourself might mean squeezing it in to your days off so you have the disruption for numerous weeks while you do a bit at a time, or using up some valuable holiday hours so you don't really get a break at all. A professional decorator can complete the work quickly and efficiently so that you can focus your time on other things.
We'll take away all of the hassle and stress… you won't have to make numerous trips out for supplies, you won't have to prepare surfaces and mask up areas, you won't risk pulling something reaching ceilings or high walls, you won't need to worry about spillages or accidents (we're covered for this… though we're confident it won't happen!), you won't get partway through then give up as it's all taking far more time and effort than you anticipated and best of all you won't have to do all the cleaning up afterwards!
